Patient Testimonials

EMILY, 29

"What shocked me about my first meeting with Rex was that I actually felt hopeful when I left - I didn’t have to live with this lingering pain and discomfort. That, and my knee felt fantastic! Rex worked through each of my injuries and explained how they were all connected. He gave me exercises that were specific and body work that was effective. He’s extremely trustworthy and very good at what he does."

Mary, 70

"I was referred to Rex after having a hip replacement and lower spine surgery and I was in bad shape. I was not able to sit for long periods of time, walk without pain and was having a difficult time recovering from both of those invasive surgeries. When I met with Rex, he was able to diagnose the root of my pain very quickly and cater each session to fit my specifications. Taking into consideration my medical history, Rex focused our time to stretching and the re-alignment of my spine. He knew the limitations of my body and pushed me to my personal limit for maximum benefits while also providing me at-home stretches and exercises to prevent further pain and injuries."

Philosophy

Rex’s philosophy as a therapist is deeply rooted in Osteopathic Medicine. Osteopathic Medical practitioners treat patients exclusively using hands-on, manual techniques. The goal of these treatments is to find the cause of a patient’s primary complaint, alleviate the ailment, and move forward to achieving overall physical wellness. This approach is based on a complex, systems theory model which is non-linear and focuses on the body as a whole.

Methods

Rex implements techniques that yield the greatest, most consistent results and he uses these to help patients reach their unique goals. He has trained with renowned experts like Dr. Guy Voyer to master these specialized treatments. Dr. Voyer is the inventor of the ELDOA method- a revolutionary method for treating back pain of all causes and origins.

Other techniques that Rex incorporates are:

  • Segmental Reinforcement

  • Precise Proprioception

  • Myofascial Stretching

  • Global Postural Stretching

  • Therapeutic Circulatory Exercise
